Exercise Therapy for SAIS

Ron Diercks et al. gave the guidelines for the diagnosis and management of SAIS. This guideline suggested that exercise therapy is the best available treatment for the management of SAIS. They suggested that the exercise regimen should be specifically focused on rotator cuff and scapular stabilizer strengthening. There was no difference found in the exercise therapy and home exercises. Manual therapy did not add on any significant improvement in the treatment of SAIS whereas massage was found to be more effective than placebo to improve shoulder function in SAIS.
