This section is a part of the chapter: An Approach for the Hematologic Challenges of Helicobacter pylori in Children: An Expensive Cost of Parents’ Misbehavior towards their Kids Although the eradication regimens efficiently eradicate H. pylori; the emergence of antibiotic-resistant H. pylori strains, the severe side effects, the high costs, treatment failure and high chances of recurrence are major drawbacks of these treatments (Ge, 2002; Nasrat & Nasrat 2015). More efficient, economical and friendly drugs need to be developed, especially for children and in particular those with hematologic challenges. Amazingly; H. pylori may not be just a bad bug in all instances, as complete eradication of the organism might introduce new problems due to the low gastric acidity. H. pylori has been shown to be a protective agent against low pH level-related carcinomas involving the cardia of the stomach (Farinha & Gascoyne 2005); that is a greatly confusing challenge.
