This section is a part of the chapter: Promising Anti-mycobacterial Potentiality of Indian Noteworthy Plant Argemone mexicana Linn.

This study tested different extracts of the Argemone Mexicana plant to see if they can fight bacteria that cause tuberculosis (TB). Scientists used water, n-butanol, and methanol to make the extracts and tested them on three TB bacteria types. The methanol extract showed the strongest ability to stop the growth of these bacteria. This means the plant might have natural ingredients that can help treat TB. These results support the traditional use of Argemone Mexicana in herbal medicine and open the door for more research on its potential as a natural anti-TB treatment.
